San Roque Golf itself is one of the most
famous golf clubs in Spain. The Spanish Open is often held
on the old course, while the new course presents different
and less familiar challenges.
Severiano Ballesteros owns a house in the resort and his brother,
Vincente, is the professional at the club.
Valderrama, home of the annual Volvo Masters and a famous
Ryder Cup venue, is ten minutes drive away and open to visitors
who would like to play. At Alcaidesa, just five minutes away
there is a beautiful links course with views across the bay
to Gibraltar.
